August and September were super anemic on the writing front. Between being sick for much of August and then having so many events happening in September, I just never got back into the swing of things. Really tried to do more with October as I took the last week off for vacation, but other life stuff got in the way and I was forced to spend much of my free time handling that.

I remain in a creative rut, at least somewhat. There are little sparks here and there every so often, but the dam is sturdy and keeping the inspiration at bay the way a good dam should.

I'm very ready to complete more of the stories for "An Atlas of Bone & Sorrow," and while they all sit on the tip of my brain's tongue, they simply won't budge yet. But this is fine. They'll come when it's time and I'm sure the book will be done by the end of next year; middle of 2026 at the very latest.

I have one more book event this year and then it will be on to hosting Thanksgiving at my place again, as well as Christmas (I think; it tends to be the most centralized location for the family to all get together). This year will end on happier notes than the last few, thankfully.

KC Lit & Libations!

For more information on this event, to buy tickets, or to buy any of the few limited VIP tickets left, go to the Facebook event link and follow the information there.

I'd meant to post up another entry about more horror movies to check out, but again...life and time both got in the way of what I wanted to do, so. Hopefully you found the few I cobbled together interesting enough to check out.

I've been hard to impress recently. Either my standards are too high or my mental transmission just has me stuck in "meh" gear. My winter blues aren't hitting as hard this year, which is nice for a change. Part of vacation has been spent clearing out my closets and my spare bedroom of the things I no longer need. I also had movers empty out my storage unit of all the furniture left over from mom's house. That's a whole other story I'll keep to myself, but I'll be glad to be rid of it all once I fully close out the unit.

We're just out here shedding old skin and looking forward to the new ones.
