The Crew The Spread The Drama Had a pretty solid first *REAL* Thanksgiving in the house. Invited a bunch of friends over, all of whom have experienced some tough years and a few big losses. Despite the oven crapping out on us mid-prep multiple times (and then finally for good), we had a fantastically delicious meal and the weather was absolutely stunning. October 2023 Reading List

  Tough month. A lot of really good highs, a couple unexpected and very heavy lows.  I also finally got to chat with my doctor about a prescription called Concerta (though I think I have the generic version), which is supposed to help with my focus without tweaking me the fuck out the way Adderall does. After a couple weeks, it's still not working quite the way I experienced the first time, but...that may be for a number of different, but coalescing, reasons.  Regardless, it's a stimulant and I'm finding myself waking up naturally at 3:30/4am regularly now, so it's been easy to get some reading in before the work day begins, even if I find myself worn the fuck down at the end of the day. That I am finally able to move from books with images/graphic novels into books of full text is a massive step forward.
