New Beginnings

Post one of the new blog. I didn't want to start another one, what with all the content I created over at Fists & Angels, Christs & Angels, but here we are because Google decided I couldn't have access to my original blog that I'd been writing for close to 9 years.

Since my last post over there, many new and interesting things have happened:

I've started working a new job as a Content Strategist at a massive digital marketing firm here in Kansas City. The work is insane, but good. My brain is constantly being pushed to its threshold. Some days are better than others (obviously), but I'm 8 months in and still loving the work and the people I do the work with.

I've put out my second collection of short stories called "The Machinery of the Heart: Love Stories." Working with my old friend Rob on both the cover art and the experience design that exists between the covers has been a really fun process. We're both highly interested in making sure that the books I'm writing (and that WE are creating) become more of an experience rather than just someone reading a book. The cover of the latest book is below, as well as a link to it on Amazon.

"The Machinery of the Heart: Love Stories"
18 stories

We've also put together a personal website for me. With the release of the second book and with the multi-media assets included within (as well as planning ahead for the next book), we needed a centralized place to store everything and that doubled as being a hub for all things authorial for me.
